I like to hike these trails with the dog and kids. its a good way to pass a Sunday afternoon. when you're farther in, you almost forget you're just off of the road

Nice trails for running or hiking. The 2 loops on the south side of the road are short and easy to navigate. On the north side of the road there are some well maintained trails and lots of shoot offs not so well maintained. Lots of sections with of mud and water due to the recent weather. Some of the shoot off trails have downed trees and are not as easy to navigate. There is a very sketchy but fun rope swing by the creek that can swing you right back into the tree if your not careful. Test it out before going from the top of the hill. There are also some steep, muddy hills by the rope swing with ropes you can use to scramble up which will lead you to a bmx course and jumps. Overall, nice trails with lots of foliage and awesome old trees that are fun to explore. About as good as it can get for a urban trail system. There are so many off shoot trails you can get a decent chunk of mileage doing a few loops and exploring the north and south sides.

Went for a quick hike before work. Trail was in good condition. The inner and outer loops are connected by trails every so often, which allows for some exploration and variation. I wandered down across Olympic View Drive at Andover St and made my way back to the parking area on the trail on the other side of the road. Along the trail there were some old cedar stumps that are worth seeing.

Awesome trek through. Didn't take long to cover both loops and my dog was in heaven.

The trail is super easy and relatively flat with very slight hills in a forest environment. The pros about this route: there are numerous trails between the inner and outer loop that connect so this could take a few hours if you wanted to go on every little side trail, the trail is clearly defined and very easy to walk so people run and walk their dogs with ease. It is also close to the road where you park your car so if you get lost just listen for the sound of traffic. The cons: there are so many side trails that it is very easy to get turned around and there are no signs indicating where you are (except at the very beginning). Park is very limited and is exposed to the road so be sure to keep an eye out when you're near the trail head as it is easy to miss. I really enjoyed walking on this trail and would love to do it again.
