We arrived at 6:45am on a Wednesday, there were two cars in the parking lot. We headed out with the two pups and immediately ran into a barred owl- very neat!
We continued up and up and up (good quad-tingler, but I'm starting to feel my calves now, hours later). Ran into one guy headed down and one gentleman running up from behind us.
We reached the end of Margaret's Way and went off to the Debbie's Point. It was pretty much straight up mud the whole way. Had a few string cheeses at the view point and turned around and headed back home (rain had started picking up). We passed by a group of three hiking up and another runner on our way down.
We arrived back at the car at 10:20am (we like to take our time).
So trail is in great condition, we only picked up two trash items on the trail, it's great up to the top (mud-wise), and even with the rain, there's tons of shelter under the trees. The people we did run into also had some face coverings within reach! We also thought we heard a bear, but decided it had to just be a groaning tree... We're hoping. ;)
