We camped overnight at the park and were at the entrance gate to sunrise/white river by 9:30 AM . The wait wasn’t too bad, 10-15 minutes. But holy crap so many cars at the entrance gate when we were headed out around 3!!!! Make sure to enter the park early!!
We hiked a loop starting at sunrise, going up to second Burroughs, and then back down to sunrise camp/shadow lake. Beautiful day on the mountain, no snow remaining on any of the trails we did. Very exposed so bring sunscreen, a hat, and lots of water.
Sadly we saw no marmots in any of the meadows :( I’ll have to go back to paradise where the ranger said they are abundant
