kidzwonthike joined me for a "walk in the park" up to Fremont Lookout, starting at 6:00. I wanted to do an easy leg stretcher and test out my new Trango Towers (they're sooooooo much lighter than my Nepal Cubes).
We took the path up to the right (the most direct way to the lookout) and took the road back which intersects with Sourdough Ridge and Yakima Park. The road back was the highlight of the day since there were a lot of flowers down low compared to up along the trail (where pretty much all of the flowers were spent).
The morning was wonderful.. just a lot of folks out on the trail. I wore my mask the entire time, sans a section walking up the road near the end. kidzwonthike did similar.
We ran into 75+ people and about 2/3~3/4 of the folks wore masks. Please, wear a mask; the trail is wide in areas, e.g., 3'+, but it's not social distancing required wide.
Sidenote: there's some construction taking place on the Sunrise Park Rd. Anticipate getting up/down during the 9:00-17:00 timeframe to take about 15-30 minutes longer than usual.
