Cowiche Canyon Preserve — Thursday, Oct. 1, 2020

Headed out for an after work run with my dog. We started at 6:30pm. There were a couple other cars at the Weikel TH and ran into the owners on the way out. The parking lot is pretty pothole-y but you can make it in a low clearance vehicle if you're going slow. There were lots of gnats throughout but mostly at the beginning. Nothing that was biting but they were getting in my nose and I think I got one stuck in my eye.

We walked/ran to the halfway point (past bridge 7?) and turned around. It was nearly dark by the time we got back so I was glad I brought my headlamp. The night critters were starting to come out and it was nice to listen to. Heard an owl hooting in the distance. The fall colors are out. Go now if you want to see them.
