It was drizzling when we arrived at the trailhead and did not stop all day. But even in the rain this hike is very charming! We hiked clockwise and stopped at the overlook along the trail to Mt. Ellinor, but because of the dense clouds, there was nothing to see. On a clear day, you can look out over Lake Cushman. There was a tiny bit of slushy snow at the viewpoint, but other than that no snow. Trail is in good shape, not too rocky or rooty. Lots of pretty bridges and streams to admire, and benches along the way if you need to rest or have a snack. We did about 7 or 8 miles all told (my iPhone and Apple Watch provided conflicting data) in 4 hours.
