Middle Fork Snoqualmie River — Sunday, Feb. 6, 2022

Snoqualmie Region > North Bend Area
Middle Fork Snoqualmie River by EvieHwang

I hiked from the Middle Fork th to the Dingleford th on the trail and came back down the road. It’s a gorgeous trail, the view of Garfield Mtn early on the hike is lovely, and it’s beautiful forest the whole way on fairly even trail. Having said that, there are few focal points of interest, it’s a bit of a slog. The snow was hard and walkable all day, I didn’t need my spikes although I was glad for my poles. There are a couple of spots where trees have fallen on along the trail and erased it, and the snow doesn’t help. I wouldn’t do this trail on mushy snow if you can avoid it. The road was a nice easy walk, but there’s one spot at a washout that would have stopped my Highlander so be careful if you try to drive to Dingleford.

Is the middle fork road clear to drive all the way to Middle Fork and Garfield Ledges trailheads?

@gonewest3 yes, I drove to the Middle Fork trailhead and the road is clear all the way, although there is snow in the parking lots and I had to park on the road. It’s probably ok to go into the lots (plenty of tire tracks) but I didn’t risk it.

We were at the Middle Fork TH today (2/11) and they were just finishing plowing the parking lot when we got back to our car
