I feel fortunate to have Greenbelt trails coming right out of my backyard. This is one of our favorite loops. It goes up to the top of The Summit neighborhood with nice views, then down through Cougar Mountain Park, then back up the greenbelt trails to home. The forest walking was unusually nice with the recent rains and cloudy sky illumination.

Hi Neighbor, I concur, aren't we fortunate? I've hiked the exact same loop many times, except that I have to walk 1/2 mile down Highland to enter the greenbelt. If I'm feeling really ambitious, I'll extend it and go all the way to Wilderness Peak (haven't done that yet this season though).
