Burroughs Mountain, Shadow Lake - Sunrise Camp Loop — Thursday, Jul. 31, 2025

Wonderful day on the trail with all of my friends (whom I have never met before). The day was slightly cloudy but the mountain (Rainier) was out. I made it all the way to the second Burroughs mountain. One is very close to the mountain there. Make sure you sit on the sculptured rock dome with a seat (in the pictures).  
if you have the energy and don’t have a forecast of a thunderstorm, make your way to the third Burroughs mountain (trail obvious from 2nd Burroughs Mt). There one is very close to the mountain and the glacier down below. 
On my return trip I went by way of shadow lake.  Many many many flowers of every color, shape and size. 
All in all an excellent day.
