We came here to hike along Spada Lake; didn't go beyond to Boulder or Greider Lakes.
Gravel road to the trailhead is long but very well maintained; no problem in any car.
Restroom at the parking lot seems to be under construction/reconstruction, so you'll have to settle for two porta-potties. There are restrooms at the Culmback Dam and the South Fork recreation areas though. At the parking lot you can also walk down to the South Shore campground/boat launch (I don't think the launch is open to the public). The tree stumps on the beach are a very unique sight.
We just walked to the Spada lake viewpoint at Bear Creek site. Beautiful view of the lake and mountains. There are porta-potties there as well. As expected the trail was wide and not overgrown due to the former road. Bugs were not that bad, but I ran into quite a few spiderwebs despite the wide trail; I guess the trail is not that popular.

And here I was hoping for a trip report for Boulder and Greider Lakes.

Yeah I feel that the first part of the trail should be called something else.

I will have to agree. Maybe Bear Creek Viewpoint?
It's a worthy destination in itself - an easy hike with a great view. Not everyone wants to go all the way to the lakes - either one is a tough hike.
