Sometimes the short hikes are the best. It was late enough in the season and early enough in the day that we had the tiny Twin First loop hike to ourselves. It was an unusually warm day for late September, and the first bits of fall color were emerging.
We accidentally got started wrong and ventured off the trail, but soon realized our mistake.
