Spent a beautiful first day of fall at Kelly Butte on a WTA work party on Sept. 22.
The drive to get there from the south end is LONG with the continued 410 bridge closure--I had to go up to Auburn from Tacoma and come back down through Enumclaw--which adds quite a bit to the drive time.
The hike itself was GORGEOUS--blue skies and fall foliage just starting to pop. The trail is in good condition and was in even better condition after we completed our erosion prevention work. :) Watch out for the switchbacks through the boulders as some areas were pretty slippery.
I'll definitely be back--short in mileage but the climb packs a punch!
