A steep lonely trail that presents itself to those who search for it. Warm fall sunshine blessing the nightly frozen turf. Muddy quite a bit of the way with increasing snow the higher we went. Consistent snow from 4000’ and up.
I really like the trail building of this route. Not a formal trail but expertly crafted through cliff bands, steep forested hillsides, and drainages. This hunter’s camp access trail is still used by stock👍🏽
Views into the Lost River drainage are colorful. Snowy ridgelines document the early season. Not much wildlife other than some birds and tracks from deer and bears.
