Short and sweet hike, decent trail, pleasant hikers, gorgeous falls. A couple of notes- the area at the top is decidedly shared. This feels a lot like getting to the top of Little Si, and there you ALL are, with ALL the hikers on the trail in a fairly small area. So if you want any kind of privacy, like to change into a swim suit like my had daughter planned on, or to get stoned - like the pack of 20 somethings we shared the trail with- then do it earlier because what you are doing will be very public. Also? If you have kiddos, warn them about the dark parts of the rocks in the river as they are pretty slick and can lead to 'fancy' (scary) situations. Finally, use ANY restroom along the way before you get there unless you don't mind using your rear end to cap off a bajillion flies that want to swarm around the 'toilet' The photo is just to show all the different kinds of terrain you can plan to see on trail. I know, I sound like a negative Nelly, but we had a blast!!! :)
