I was looking for a quick hike on a random weekday morning, and I stumbled upon Redmond Watershed Preserve. I arrived just after 9am and there was only one other car in the parking lot. I have never been here before, so I wasn’t sure how safe or not it is. I just made sure there was nothing visible and valuable left in the view of my car. I decided to do a whole perimeter loop, which according to my GPS app was around 4.3miles and took me 1hr 13min to complete. There are many little connecting trails along the way, but every intersection has a signage, so i kept constantly checking to make sure I’m taking correct turns. As i left the parking lot and headed north, i made right turn and walked counter clockwise. There are not many steep parts, this trail could be easily completed with kids too. Just make sure to leave your pets at home, as no dogs are allowed in the Preserve. I met probably 5 or so people eventually, heading the other direction than me, i wonder if people usually hike this trail in clockwise direction, but I don’t think there is a right or wrong way. When I returned back to the parking lot there was about a handful of other cars. Because this park is off limits for dogs, i imagine it does not get much traffic, but because of the low elevation gain, it is a good walk. I was a little disappointed that the trail didn’t take me closer to the pond/lake in the middle. But i suppose that is the Preserve area that must remain off limits. Good walk overall
