The road up is no joke and one of the roughest roads our group has been on this year. Trail is well maintained and and grade is gentle. Took us about 2.5 hours from the trailhead to the meadow. We explored through the meadow, rested for lunch by the creek and had the whole place to ourselves😍. Clouds were low and we had some rain but the views were absolutely gorgeous on this first day of fall.

Great photos! Are there no longer any signs about the wildfires nearby?

Thank you, it was beautiful! Trail was open and we passed several hikers heading up higher than we were. There was a fire advisory sign where we turned off from the main road, about two miles from the trailhead. We continued on and when we saw several cars and a USFS worker who wished us a good hike we figured we were ok:)
