The forest road to the trailhead had some fairly gnarly potholes--be a bit cautious.
The trail started with no snow and it gradually built up until we reached the summit, which was still covered with some fairly deep (but sorta-packed) snow. We dealt with a bit of postholing near the summit, but it wasn't too bad. Snowshoes would have been helpful, but honestly I probably wouldn't have actually put them on. Gaiters were super-useful. Poles with snow baskets and microspikes were great to have, though not necessary (I'd try to have at least one of them, though).
- Arrived at trailhead - 10:10am
- Summit - 12:15pm
- Left summit - 1:15pm
- Back at trailhead - 3:15pm
- Total hike time: 4 hours (and 1 hour of summit hangout). We're fairly fit/fast, but we weren't booking it.
