This was hike #3 since injuring my hip and it felt great to handle 1300ft elevation gain with the hip splint on. I've included 4min of video highlights below..
Trailhead: Arrived around 8am and lot was full with 2 of us parked on roadside. When I returned cars were parked along the side of the road a long way. Get there early! Kiosk and trail signs are excellent.
Wildflowers: I saw serviceberry, Indian paintbrush, saxifrage, cliff penstemon and Blue-eyed Mary (I think) blooming.
Trail: everyone was friendly, all dogs were leashed until the balcony and the trail work done by WTA was phenomenal! Lots of switchbacks interspersed with stretches of flat trail.
