Trip Report

Wallace Falls State Park — Tuesday, Aug. 13, 2019

Central Cascades > Stevens Pass - West

We arrived to the parking lot at about 9:15am and there were only about 6 cars in the lot! There were still a number of available parking spots when we made it back down (around 1:15pm). We had an 8 and a 12 year old with us and made it all the way to upper falls without any meltdowns. 😊 the hike was a lovely, (mostly) medium level hike, with the switchbacks between middle and upper falls slightly more difficult. The trail is wide and well maintained. Only a few root systems and logs to step over. Nothing abnormal. The lookout spots were beautiful and we had a great lunch along the “river view” lookout. Not bothered by any bugs at all and traffic on the trail was light. Our day was beautiful and we would all do the hike again!
