This was an unexpectedly enjoyable hike. We only checked out the spur trails to the upper trestle and horseshoe tunnel due to being short on time. It was obvious this is not a very well known trail, but it seems to be a great complement to the much more popular Iron Goat (same parking lot for that trailhead).
Leaves covered most of the trail and the brush was a bit overgrown in some places, so we needed to pay close attention to make sure we stayed on trail. A little mud and a few large branches to step over. No snow to speak of. I look forward to coming back to hike the rest of the connector to Kelley Creek trail.
