As part of a WTA work party on Quarry Trail, we were fortunate enough to be able to carpool from Red Town Trailhead through the gate and along Red Town Trail just before Coal Creek (so I suppose we technically didn't hike that trail). The work was on Quarry Trail up the hill from Red Town Trail, where Quarry Trail levels off a bit. We worked to improve the drainage in the area by building some new drains and a large sump, regraded the trail in spots, and raised the level slightly near the sump. On the hike in about 09:00 there was a lot of snowfall, with big fluffy flakes, but it stopped by 10:00 and melted off soon thereafter.
The Red Town lot had maybe a dozen cars at 08:00, and there were still some spots available when we left at 14:30.
