At about 2 miles in, when you get to that beautiful boulder meadow, where the river usually goes underground, it is currently about two or 3 feet deep and running fast. We went off trail, upstream, and found a safe crossing, but we decided to turn back anyway, because we weren’t sure if the way down to the trail from the opposite side was going to be manageable for our group.
