We had great weather for this hike, drizzle as we left Seattle, a downpour in the convergence zone around Everett, and sunny skies around Mount Vernon.
The Little Mountain trail system (mostly multi-use) is well maintained but lacks a printed map system which can be of use for your first visit. We walked up to the view point via the Rooty and Huff and Puff trails and then down via the Bonnie and Clyde and Rooty trails. The loop was about 4.5 miles in total with moderate steepness.
The views from the Top are quite nice with Puget Sound, the Skagit River, and Mount Vernon plus flower fields from both view points.
This is a great hike in the rainy season and a nice drive from the Seattle area.
