Beautiful hike! The parking lot was large and there were several nice, wooden picnic tables to use while enjoying a snack or a meal. We went on the Evergreen Trail and started to the right of the restrooms. This well maintained trail wound through the forest of amazing trees, carpets of moss, and graceful ferns. Little streams fed the vegetation and provided wonderful background music on our journey. It had rained the day before so the trail was still slick in spots. There were some steeper uphill climbs on the trail followed by beautiful flat stretches to catch your breath. The ADA portion of the trail was crushed rock in most spots and well maintained. Fantastic hike to experience a beautiful forest.

Evergreen Trail was great, a little overgrown on some of the trail, and the spiders are out in abundance, but it was great and too busy either. Maybe saw 2-3 groups of people all morning. We got there at 11AM and did the 3 mile (which my fitbit said was 4 miles) evergreen trail. Not that strenuous, easy hike - good for beginners or if you just want a nice walk in old growth forest.
We walked the 3 mile Evergreen Loop and crossed the highway for the 2 loops over there. The Evergreen Loop trail is a bit rocky and rooty, but in good shape, not dusty and not wet either. Lots of old growth trees, a variety of ferns, and welcome shade. There is a nice picnic area where we enjoyed lunch. No bugs. Stopped on the way back to our campsite at Act One Ice Cream Parlor in Concrete (5*).
