Wallace Falls in June
Most in our faces and glacier water swim, what a great day!
Before the summit, clear view.

Barry and Jenny Brown, WTA members and frequent hikers on Antione Peak, decided to volunteer when a work party was announced for this area. "We hike it so we should help maintain and improve it." That day, the crew cut the last stretch of the new Canfield Gulch trail, Barry and Jenny felt it an honor to cut the final several yards to the lookout together. A historical moment!
First trip to Mailbox Peak! Too foggy/cloudy to see the views!
Totally worth the hike

Crossing the falls' runout.
The valley just prior to climbing up towards Fremont Lookout.
A family group getting ready to enter the Snoqualmie Tunnel for our annul journey into the dark. The kids love being able to wear head lamps, carry glow sticks, and always have fun being brave enough to walk into the darkness of the tunnel
First hike of the year!
I loved this hike so much, I did it three times in two weeks! Please visit if you haven't already.
Amazing hike to Snoquera Falls. Micro spikes recommended at this point but can be done without them. Snow in basin beneath falls in semi dangerous; post holing through snow into the creek under snow highly possible (water seems VERY shallow though). Some of the group of WTA advocates preparing for meetings with our senators and representatives on Hiker Rally Day in Olympia. Total gain: about eighty feet going up and down stairs, Total Well Being: five stars.

Love this shot of my friend hiking along the icy trail and the moss hanging down
My brother Rick and I hiked the Cascades when kids in the 50's. We hiked together again after I passed my 70th birthday and chose the 70 miles of the Pacific Crest Trail between Snoqualmie Pass and Stevens Pass in Washington State. We had beautiful weather and stunning views the first few days and saw lots of thru hikers trying to make Canada by October. Of course, we had storm and rain the last days of the hike. But, here's a view of Mt. Rainier on our second day on the trail.
A nice shot of a reflective moment
