Summer hikes can be quite brutal for our thick-furred friend. Cheza isn't normally very fond of water, but she has no qualms about using crisp mountain streams to cool off.

Who doesn't love a hard-earned Pitty smile? Kai was a champ making it to the top of Excelsior with us, bad knees and all. He had a blast and never once complained, though he did have to take a few extra breaks on the way down.

This was taken as we headed down to the beach. Pictured is my 10 year old son and 15 year old sister. The trees provided shade and the trail was easily accessible.

My pups first hike!

This is my first trip to Snow Lake, and let me just tell you, it's breathtaking. Will have to bring water shoes or flip flops next time, the rocks in the lake are a bit sharp. Had an incredible time though!
