On a recent snowshoe to Hex, we never made it to the true summit. We made our own to find this beautiful view

Got to Lake Serene early one morning, and had the lake all to myself. The light was perfect at the time I was there, cutting through the morning mist. Love it!

We have hiked Chirico Trail several times to see Mount Rainier. It was cloudy on the way up so we headed to Poo Poo Point to see the paragliders. We headed down the trail around 3:00 PM and were elated to find this inspirational view of the Mountain.

I was out on the Pend Oreille River and those are the Canadian Mountains in the background, so i had to take a picture. Plus i just loved how everything just flowed together to make this photo work.

The location is Bumping Lake where a small creek flows into the lake, opening a small hole in the ice. This is a nice place to snowshoe. I hiked from the dam on the lake bed. This is a reservoir and the water level is often low in the winter. There is no trail.
