Rare Eastern Washington flower

We hiked up an unmarked and closed logging road in the upper Tumwater Canyon off of Highway 2 and discovered a beautiful stand of lewisiaa in bloom. This flower is found only in selected small areas in the Wenatchee National Forest. What a find!

Lovely Lakeshore

Still water and solitude made for a lovely trip on the Chelan Lakeshore Trail.

Tronsen Tweedy's

Tronsen Ridge is alive with Tweedy's Lewisia, native only to the Wenatchee Mountains. What a treasure!
