A beautiful, sunny day at Lena Lake! As others have mentioned this past week, the road is snow free. The trail was also unobstructed, in large part thanks to the trail crew that was out there today (thank you all).
Our little group parked around 10:15, hiked up to the lake viewpoint and took a break, then moseyed back to the car by about 1:15pm. Definitely a nice way to spend a rare blue-sky day.

Spectacular day on the Lower Lena Lake trail. The road is clear of debris and snow. The bathrooms are clean and stocked...there are locking or closing all the way issues with both doors. The trail is in excellent condition. There are three trees down, one is an easy step over, one is a sit and throw your leg over, and one you may not notice as you walk under unless you're tall. There's a small section of water on the trail, but on dry days, it's no big deal. It's cold at the lunch rock, so the gloves came on after that and all the way to the car. The people were all so friendly.

The road in was in great condition, bare and dry. The trail was in good shape. Just a few places where water ran onto the trail. Just a few patches of snow higher up that was easily crossed. A beautiful day. Only saw three other people and a beautiful Husky dog named "Dune."
Road leading to the trailhead is clear, some small fallen trees on the side but still plenty of room to pass. Road also has a small amount of snow, especially past the trailhead. Trail has lots of small streams running across, and is impassable after a little over 2 miles due to a river cutting directly through the trail. Would be unsafe to try and go around.
