We accessed the Klickitat trail #7 via the feeder trail #7A at the intersection of FS21 and the Chambers Lake road junction. You can tell that work has been performed on the 7A feeder trail. It starts out well, good tread and all trees cleared. The green trails map says that the feeder trail is .6 miles, to the Klickitat ridge trail #7 but our GPS called it at 1.5 miles. The green trails map is definitely wrong. About .7 miles in the trail is badly overgrown and following the tread is difficult. Then after about .3 miles you can tell again the trail (#7A) was maintained form the top down. We hiked from the trail intersection to Mission Mt location on the trail, there are lots of ups and downs. It is in great shape, good tread and all trees removed. Someone has done a lot of work on the trail. THANKS. We were hoping for some open views of the volcanos and the Goat Rocks, but there were just peak-a-boo views along the way. Did 9.5 miles round trip with 2700 ft vertical.

I Hiked the Klicket Trail From Jackpot Lake and Saw Saint Michael Lake and went to Saint John Lake and then I hiked off trail to Sanctuary Arch and then went down to Hugo Lake. The Klicket Trail was in great shape great job to the Trail crews for the great work it was a beautiful day and I did not see hardly any people on a Saturday. Sanctuary Arch was Awesome and had great views up there.
