Spur of the moment trip. I ended up hiking this one with my "cowboy" boots because my daughter wanted to see a waterfall. So what better way then to turn around, get on the WTA app, and find something new to see?! The trail is great and once you get past the first incline, it opens up to some pretty cool views. If you are able to, get off the path once you reach the falls and take head down to the base of the falls! We did and had to at least dunk our heads in! My daughter loved it so much that we are going back tomorrow....with our bathing suits...

Very nice hike for family with kids. For about 2 miles it was gravels and pot hole here and there. Look very carefully for the sign or you will miss it as we did.

I picked this hike for my first baby h wearing hike.It was just slightly more challenging than I expected but we got through it great. My husband and 12 year old daughter climed all over, looking at side trails and exploring below the falls where there was a little cave! The hike was enjoyable for all of us, even my 3 month old daughter cooed and made excited sounds she never had made before <3 My family and I are making future plans to return to Murhut falls! :)

Murhut Falls is an easy in/out trail for hikers of all ages. The initial ascent is minimal but a bit of an incline. You do get to enjoy the descent on the way back. The falls is impressive, considering it is off the beaten path a little and we would recommend it for a nice quick hike. Average time to the falls itself is approximately 15 minutes, if that, so avid hikers should be aware that this isn't an 'exercise hike'. The road to the falls has numerous large potholes, but if you drive slow you will be fine. Parking is minimal at the trail head, but not horrible. We hiked w/ a 2 year old in an Osprey carrier and a 5 year old who has been hiking w/ us for a few years on her own.
