Trail was easier that mentioned, if a little slick in the rutty areas due to the misty atmosphere. My two year old liked every bit except the dropoff to get down to the falls, so sadly I couldn't progress further.

Went with some friends to visit the falls this morning - overcast, but beautiful! Short hike, some steep areas on the way to the falls, just keep going until you get to the end. The kids explored the steep trails down to the pools - not ideal for wobbly knees, but as steep as the trails are down to the water, they have lots of trees to help assist in coming back up. Biggest area of concern on the trip were the potholes in the dirt road - drive carefully, some will need to be driven around as they're getting pretty deep!

Perfect hike with little ones. We even made our way to the pool down below. It was gorgeous!

Trail was well maintained, and even in this heat (it got close to 90), the hike is well shaded, albeit humid, which is to be expected in the forest. Many hikers had kids even younger than our eight year old down at the falls. The first stretch and the last have some short but steep hills, but WOW. Huge payoff for not too much work! We climbed down to the falls and had a little swim in the pools at the bottom. *THE WATER IS COLD* lovely trip.
