Hiked up to the falls today for the first time. Trail is short and well maintained. Did not see anyone else on the trail and no cars in the turnout. Was very peaceful!

Beware of: snow conditions

There was a dusting of snow at the TH and on the trail, but hiking boots were adequate for walking the frozen trail. There were a few remaining fungi along the trail. The falls was not as full as we have seen it in the past, but the ice formations on the rocks beside the falls and in the creek added to the beauty of the scene!

Went with my son 4 yrs, a friend and her 3 year old son. Unfortunately, we missed the trail head and drove a long way up the forestry road. I am freaky with heights and it was no fun on this one lane dirt road and we had to find a turn around overlooking a big drop. I was terrified! Just make sure you dont miss the trail head. Once turned the jeep around and found the trail head on the way back down, my friend who is an experienced hiker (and thankfully mountain road driver) went on it to Mulhut Falls trail with her dog and her 3 year old... I just waited in the car as was not wanting to have anymore incidents. She was a while and on her return said...just before the falls there was quite a substantial drop off and no guard rail. However, the view of the falls was amazing she brought back video and pictures... I will think twice before going off hiking with little ones again! Feeling glad we got home safely. Also I was wondering if anyone knows which mountain the FS 2050 road is on? looked but can see on google map? We also did Rocky Brook Falls earlier in the afternoon which was beautiful and so much fun.....just wish we had left it there for the day!

Great weather for a short afternoon hike. Several other people had the same idea. Easy trail, beautiful scenery. Falls are pretty spectacular. A couple rough trails have been formed that go down to the falls and from there you can get to several pools between fall tiers. A bunch of people swimming in the pools-looked like an enjoyable place to hang out. But burgers at Eagle Creek were calling our names, so we snapped a few photos, turned around and headed back to the car.

The day was warm and humid, around the 80's. We arrived at about 1 pm. The trail took us about 30 minutes to reach the falls. Some parts of the trail are very close to drop offs, and when the rock and gravel are loose like they were today you have to pay close attention to children. Some parts are somewhat challenging and steep. But the final reward is worth it! This is a beautiful place i am sure to visit again! The falls are 130 ft. If youve got good footing there is a small rock climbing course to reach the falls where you can go up and stand underneath.
