Did not check the snow level and tried to make it to Mount Zion. Too much snow, had to turn around. Decided to check out the Murhut Falls. This was my first time to the Falls and I was very impressed. It is a good time to go with all the snow melting. Since it was such a short hike, 1.6 roundtrip to be exact, we decided to go to the Duckabush trail. We found it rather difficult to find the 060 sign to turn at. We started the hike late so we cut it a little short and turned around at the river. It was a nice hike, I am looking forward to making it to "Big Hump" on the next trip.

Beware of: snow conditions

We hiked this one around Noon and the road was pretty clear most of the way but around the trail head there was about 3in of snow on roadway. The trail was easy even though there was quiet abit of snow on the trail. The water was flowing really good at the falls. Only say 1 other person on the trail with a dog. Good hike!!!!

Beware of: snow conditions

Great weather for a hike. Road in was fine. Trail had 1-2" of snow on it which made it a bit slippy in the boots I was wearing, especially on the way down. Trail condition was good.

After setting up camp at Dosewallips State Park, we did this short hike as a warm up for the week-end. The trail was in excellent condition. Murhut Creek and the falls were spectacular because of the recent rains.
