Great, flat hike with educational pieces along the way. The kids enjoyed it until about 3/4 of the way through when the sun was pounding and we were over the mud flats. Probably better on a cooler day or to bring more water than I did.

Gorgeous day - we were able to see an eagle pass by among many other birds.

Walked with 3.9 year old he walked90% of the trail . Also pushed a stroller with 10 month old

Beware of: bugs
 

Hiked on a an busy Tuesday.  Windy and lots of guided groups on trail (children). Tide was out are didn't see many birds- red winged blackbirds, brown headed cowbird.  Check the tides bfore you come. Sand fleas (?) on the boardwalk.
