Did a loop suggested by the WTA description plus short trip up to the North Butte. You can see the sign at the next Y intersection past the Lily Lake campground, one goes down to Lizard Lake and the other goes to the North Butte. I guess signs in this trail system are one of the best, large, clear, and there are many of them.
Today the view at the overlook and dome were great, but we did not get to see Mt Baker and sisters at the North Butte. While it was a bit busy on the main dome trail, the other parts were serene. My favorite part is the PNT section that connects to the Lily lake: the flat trail goes along a tinkling creek in a dense forest.
There were a few muddy spots which could be expected. But do watch out for slippery rocks. I slipped twice because I was too distracted looking around.

A beautiful day for a hike. Excellent cloud filtered sunlight and no wind. We even had Oyster Dome to ourselves. I also recommend checking out the view from North Butte. The treed cliffs just east of the main viewpoint give a beautiful view of Mt Baker(see Alltrails waypoint).
