Great couple hour hike, falls are running super hard making it very beautiful, I went on the trail at the bottom of the cliff pretty easy to navigate minor loose rocks

Unbeknownst to us we went on a free parks day. Luckily we were there by 10 and there was parking readily available. From the paved road we turned onto the park road and it was in horrific condition!! Large potholes filled with standing water all over this dirt road. Beware low clearance cars! This park gets very crowded quickly. The falls look very different in Early spring compared to late May.

The falls were in full glory, albeit with muddy water. Rainbows appeared in the huge rebound-spray to make a spectacular site. The little park was absolutely packed with cars from all over the PNW; this may have been due to the Free Discovery Pass day. I am looking forward to going again in late summer to see clearer water.

Decided to get out for an early start to the camping season with the hopes of getting some early season Milky Way shots and sunrise shots. Unfortunately, while it was beautiful on Saturday, Mother Nature had her own plans and we woke up to snow. So while we didn't get any shots of the Milky Way or the sunrise, we did get a gorgeous sunset and still had a memorable outing. *NOTE: Be sure to check the state park site as there is a planned closure of the park to replace cattle guards.

It wasn't really a "trail", just a walkway from the parking lot to the falls. Pardon me but this is long overdue so my memory isn't as sharp. I remember that the scenery was pretty dry, parched and yellow. It was late-September after all. It was cool seeing a waterfall in otherwise desert conditions though. I think this park would be prettier in the spring with lush greenery surrounding the falls.
