Started the hike at 2 o’clock. Parked at the park north of the trailhead since a lot was over full. Cheryl was in very good condition. People were nice. Trail was muddy, but it has need raining, so there’s that.
I lost my beloved Buff- 8-10 years traveler with tie-die rainbow and feels more like cotton than synthetic. Please find me if found. I’m on Facebook- Sandi Friedhoff Hill.
Found part of a flashlight ball band left at the troll head, up from the parking lot and passed the powerline

Arrived about 10:30am, trail head parking lot was about half full. When I finished at around 12:30pm the lot was about two thirds full. Passed about 10 people going up the trail and another 10 when coming down. Only issue is a tree that looks like it recently uprooted and fell over taking out most of the trail. This is located pretty close to the start of the trail. It's narrow and steep in that location, so no real way to walk around it, instead you'll need to traverse the mini land slide that's left. Other than that the rest of the trail was in good condition, not too muddy given the recent rain.
Arrived about 9:30 to a good choice of parking spots. I think the murky weather this morning kept people away. A couple more pictures of the trail damage that is within a quarter mile of the entry gate. That's going to be quite a bottle neck on a busy day. Apart from having to scoot around that (held on to that stump on the left), the trail is in great shape. Not too slippy after the rain. Lots of flowers right from the get go, especially fringe cup, and the ferns are all lovely. I saw all the usual plus honey suckle and Nootka rose. A little breezy at the top meaning not too many people hanging out there.
Back at the car by lunch time and parking now tight. I did note the "pay" lot across the street is advertised as $10, glad the trail head direct bus is now running again on weekends. Then it was off to REI to check on their sale.
Great day, trail is in good condition, a few roots here and there as usual but overall very smooth.
A few paraglides taking advantage of the great wind.
There were parking spots available when I started at 9 and returned at 1230. Portapotties clean and stocked with TP.
Super green out there right now and I saw a columbine that was just about to bloom near the top and a couple of trillium.
Great morning on the trail!
