Saw my first trillium of the year this morning near the top on the Chirico trail 🎉

I started at 645am and the lot was about half full. Very busy when I returned at 1030.

Some has done a ton of work removing a ton of blowdowns - thank you!

The trail is in good shape, lots of evidence of storm damage that has been cleared for hikers (thanks again!)

Only a little mud in a couple places, quite a few roots and rock steps on sections of the trail as usual.

Beautiful spring day

Hello,

i am seeking information.  There was a black lab that I saw when I passed the first launching pad, who looked adorable!  After my descent, I noticed the dog again and that it had an ‘adopt me’ halter on.   I should have asked, but i was tired.

Which rescue orgs hike that trail with their dogs?

thanks!

Wet with a few water/mud areas but still manageable, slippery in some areas.
