Beware of: trail conditions

3 people found this report helpful

It was a beautiful day for a hike but the trail is still quite damp in places. Be mindful of erosion in muddy areas and go slowly on the rocks which are especially slick in some spots. Hiking poles would be helpful for anyone who is a little unsteady. The Honeybuckets at the start of the trail are clean with TP and sanitizer.

Found a break in the rain to enjoy some time in the woods. There are a few patches of mud but nothing terrible. The only terrible thing was the stench from the toilet wafting down the trail as you reach the true top of PPP! Felt like the trail name was quite fitting today :P

The trail was clear. No obstacles and no snow.

Brought the baby. She got mad 3/4mi from the top. So we turned back.

Highly advised to bring micro spikes there are some icy patches I wouldn't try crossing without them.

It all starts to get icy right before the first little bridge.

There was no parking at the little trailhead parking lot so we parked at the high school and went over.

Overall the trail is in great shape. All the blow downs have been taken care of
