This was a great hike with incredible views at the top. Just challenging enough without being hard for our two young kids. A fairly easy family friendly day hike!

Short and sweet hike. Very little gain. A good stretch of the legs for the long drive up (coming from Seattle) kool to see the lake from different perspectives. Great hike for people who don’t hike, even tho they struggled a bit but the views were worth it. It’s a good one to take your out of town visitors

Excellent quick little hike, small amount of elevation gain, decent view though trees block the best views unfortunately, nice new spring growth on trail, a bit of a tricky stream crossing at beginning of trail that got a few feet wet in our group, plenty of parking on Saturday midday

Easy hike right off the highway with a view at the top. Trailhead is at the Colonial Creek Campground, on the left side heading east on the hwy.

As of 5/27/19 you will need to walk across a log for roughly 10 feet due to the bride not yet posted. Once you make your way across the trail is in fabulous condition. Do not be afraid of crossing the log you will be rewarded with 360 views of the surrounding area.

Note: Dress appropriately and bring water as the later half of the trail is exposed to the sun. Overall, this hike was great for the memorial day weekend. Gorgeous views and limited traffic when we hit the trail at 9:30 am. This is a must stop if you camp at any of the surrounding areas it's a relatively easy trek with multiple benches to relax and eat lunch along the way.
