This was a great hike that I did with a couple of friends. I had hiked with my family before to Eunice Lake, but we didn't go all the way up to Tolmie Peak as my daughter was little and TIRED! I was determined to get up there this time. It was cloudy/foggy when we started the hike, but the clouds were starting to move along and the mountain even made a little appearance for us at Mowich Lake. This is such a beautiful hike, with some nice ups and downs. It takes you past lakes, through woods and past wildflowers. There were roots and rocks on the trail, but nothing too bad. Trail was well used and easy to follow. Once we got to Eunice Lake the mosquitoes were out in force and were relentless. We applied bug spray and continued our way up to Tolmie Peak. The trail had some nice switchbacks which made the climb not too bad. The views from the trail from Eunice Lake to Tolmie Peak were amazing as you look down on the lake as you go up. Once we were at the top "HOORAY" we took a little break, ate some lunch and enjoyed the view. The mountain was hiding behind the clouds and I can only imagine how spectacular the view is when it is a clear day. Just another reason to do this hike again.
