Really nice trail but very steep for half of the loop to top. No lookout at top just ends to a small dirt patch area with a little free library at top.

Encountered no issues on this hike. Went up Whittaker trail on the ascent, Gombu trail on the descent, stopping at the peak for a short rest. This was only my fifth hike of the season so it got my heart pumping - not an easy hike.

Second hike of the season. 4.5 miles in 2 hours. I did the full loop which i highly recommend. (Follow the trail description)
The elevation is no joke. Fairly steep at some points. Through the forest with tree cover and shaded the whole way. Trail in good condition. Bugs not too bad. Peaceful. Overall a great hike and I would do it again.
The parking lot is super small so get there early. I parked on the other side of the road on the shoulder, which I do not recommend. It’s a busy highway and can be dangerous to cross.

Gorgeous so many greens. A hike for trees and ferns, not big vistas. Felt like a fairy tale movie set. Took me about 3 hours including snacks but I’m really slow. Highly recommend

Did this hike in the evening with light rain. WA900 is very slow during rush hour but the trail wasn't busy. no mud despite the rain, it's gravel/rock.

Beautiful mist in the trees! It felt almost mystical. Definitely a good escape. The incline was good for getting the heart rate up but wasn't overkill.
