Beware of: snow, trail conditions

While this trail may provide some of the best access to Mt. Baker, it is definitely unmaintained. We were able to follow it to the current snow line though it gets very ambiguous in certain places. After crossing the log over the creek, turn right and follow the creek as the trail will become evident. Higher up, watch out for major deterioration as we spotted large cracks in the trail. About 4 miles in, we lost the trail due to snow at which point we headed up towards a ridge which overlooks Baker and surrounding peaks (Twin Sisters). It took us 3.5 hours to get to this ridge and 1.5 hours to return to the trailhead. There is no view until you get above the tree line.
