**Solo adults showing up for a Youth & Families day work party (even when registered in advance) are not eligible to attend the event, and will be asked to leave by the Crew Leader.**
About the Area
Longfellow Creek in West Seattle is a 3.4-mile stream that begins at a 10,000-year-old bog and flows to the Duwamish Waterway. Once a traditional fishing spot for the Duwamish people, the creek is now home to salmon again after years of absence due to pollution. Thanks to volunteers and restoration efforts, a 4.2-mile trail was built in 2004, and native plants are making a comeback. You can spot wildlife like blue herons and coyotes while helping protect this vital urban ecosystem!
What to Expect
We'll have fun, work hard and make a difference! No experience is necessary.
