Overview
This is a required part of training for all new ambassadors. Please come with pre work finished and any questions you have! The primary purpose of this training is interaction with other ambassadors to work through some materials preparing you to be an ambassador. You will also get valuable updates on WTA's work in 2026!

We will be going a little deeper with the materials from the individual work, and practicing our skills representing WTA and supporting hikers.

This will be 2 hours on zoom, and we will take a short break about midway through.

Once you are registered, you will receive an email with the zoom link. This is one of three options to complete training.

Comfortable clothes
What to Bring
Water, snacks, whatever you need to be comfortable for the duration of the training. Nothing else is required, but if you'd like to have a pen and paper handy to jot down any notes or thoughts, go for it!
A My Backpack account is required. You will be asked to register or log in before you can join.

Getting to WTA work parties can involve travel on rough, unpaved roads in areas without cellular service and without street addresses that can be accurately used by navigation devices. Unless specifically noted otherwise, routes can generally be traveled by all types of vehicles. Volunteers with limited experience driving on unpaved mountain roads may want to allow extra time, beyond what is recommended in the directions above, to get to the meeting location.
