Went to Lake Wenatchee for our first camping trip of the season. The sun was out both days that we were here but the temps were cool and the wind i the 25 mph gust range so the lake itself was VERY choppy.
Nonetheless, being mostly out of cell phone range was nice. We stayed in the north campground and enjoyed a low number of campers partly due to what we figured was a combination of being mid-week and a cool weather forecast.
It was nice not having to dance around everyone! The wind in the trees was what the soul needed and the walk around the lake while a bit winded, was nice as well. The trails are in good shape and well maintained. Definitely a good compliment to what is a VERY nice campground

Parked at the main Hidden Lake TH. Arrived around 2pm (after a morning of morel hunting) and there were just a few parking spots left. You can buy a parking pass at the TH for $5 or I think your Forest Pass/Discover Pass may work instead. Sorry, I don't remember what the sign said.
Very pretty and short trail through the woods. Just a few trees down, otherwise in great shape. If you turn right just before the lake, you can easily cross the outlet on logs. The views and picnic spots are better on this side. I did the loop back to the campground then walked the road to find the shoreline trail.
I walked the campground road to the shoreline cabins and found a no trespassing sign. I did find a trail closer to the shore but it only seemed accessible by walking straight through campsite 20 (no one was there). I walked a short while along the path and saw people ahead, heard car doors slamming and couldn't tell if the trail ahead was shoreline property of one of the many homes along the lake or if it was still a public trail. I caught a good view of the surrounding mountains and decided to turn around. Traffic driving out and back through Monroe was miserable. Not sure what that was about. Still, a lovely day to be out.

I snow-shoed the North section of the park. The snow conditions are only okay, there are a few spots close to the lake with no snow actually and the rest is very crunchy and LOUD with snowshoes. On the plus side the trail is well packed-down and easy to follow. I would recommend waiting until the next snowfall and then going right away to enjoy the new snow.
