Trip Report

Lake Wenatchee State Park — Thursday, Jun. 6, 2019

Central Cascades > Stevens Pass - East

Went to Lake Wenatchee for our first camping trip of the season. The sun was out both days that we were here but the temps were cool and the wind i the 25 mph gust range so the lake itself was VERY choppy.

Nonetheless, being mostly out of cell phone range was nice. We stayed in the north campground and enjoyed a low number of campers partly due to what we figured was a combination of being mid-week and a cool weather forecast.

It was nice not having to dance around everyone! The wind in the trees was what the soul needed and the walk around the lake while a bit winded, was nice as well. The trails are in good shape and well maintained. Definitely a good compliment to what is a VERY nice campground
