For my 2025.04.02 3rd walk/hike, i went to Lewis River Falls.

i drove (NF-90) to Lower Lewis River Falls parking, then took a walk to the Viewpoint. And enjoying the amazing views of Lower Lewis River Falls, i drove to Middle Lewis River Falls parking; then hiked > Upper Lewis River Falls > Middle Lewis River Falls > parking. Both the Upper and Middle Lewis River Falls were amazing too. ~10 minutes after leaving Upper Lewis River Falls, i encountered a young man coming in. We exchanged greetings, and goodbyes.

Please note that the NF-90 is generally good driving condition. At the same time, please note: ~12 miles after Northwoods, after the Pavement ends, the next ~0.5 mi is "iffy" (please refer to picture attached): Single-Lane, unpaved, loose gravel, some spots steep grade, and hidden dips.

Take care and be safe.

Started at the Crab Creek Trailhead and went to Upper Falls and back for a 10 mile trip. An amazing day for a hike! First time on this trail loved seeing everything during the winter time. No snow but it was cold enough in spots that there was a little bit of ice. A bit foggy in the morning but it burned off and the sun was out for the later half of the day. All the waterfalls were fantastic including the lesser falls on the trail. Quiet and peaceful, not another soul around. If there was one disappointment it was the amount of trash I found and hauled out. I would highly recommend this to anyone.

Did this stunning hike yesterday. The falls were flowing, the trail is in great condition, the colors were golden and mushrooms abundant. Started at the lower falls at 9am and saw only one other person as I was returning from the upper falls. Make sure you hike above the upper falls. Great views. If you follow the directions on wta go a couple of miles further. Their directions are not correct.

Trail has been cleared of all downed trees! Thank you trail crews for the hard work as there were a lot. The last time I hiked this trail in the spring it was a nightmare. FS90 is clear and suitable for all vehicles so long as you watch out for the giant sink holes on the shoulders of the road. They are marked by white delineators so pay attention to those.

Beautiful day for a hike!
