A beautiful after work hike on my way home. All trails in great condition. Lots of berries along the way for Miles to enjoy!

A friend and I took our dogs from her place (about a mile away) to the upper path of Lincoln Park for a 2-hour mid-day stroll (12-2) through the woods for about 5 miles round trip. It's been years since I've made my way to West Seattle, so this was a pleasant outing. Lots of summer camps, so we only heard about 11 bird species. Tons of people walking their dogs.

We encountered a homeless man occupying three benches with all his stuff, overlooking the beach. He was pleasant enough, but those benches were otherwise unavailable for use.

Blackberries are abundant and ripe. A lovely meander. We chose not to descend to the beach, given the midday sun/heat for our two dogs. Blackberries are ripe and abundant for a nice sweet treat.

Got to the main parking lot at 7 tonight. Took a second to get into the lot because the ferry line was very long. Plenty of cars in the lot, but it wasn't too hard for me to find a spot. We did a couple of loops around the park, including some time by the water. It was a beautiful sunset! Quite hazy too though. When we got back to the parking lot around 9:30, it had properly cleared out, more empty than full.

The goal of this walk was to find the troll as part of our goal to visit all five Thomas Dambo trolls in the greater Seattle area. Two down, three to go. We parked along Fauntleroy Way by the south Parking lot, which was just about full. It was a nice sunny day. We walked downhill to the beach and followed the beach trail, then looped back uphill. We found the troll, too. This is a nice park: beach, wooded trails, open grassy areas, playgrounds for kids.

Went to Maury island from Seattle for a beach day and then to Lincoln Park in W Seattle to check out the other troll.

Point Robinson: very nice park, was low tide so could hang out on the beach. Smelled like low tide, lots of grass and a few dead fish. Lighthouse views were very pretty. Troll was fun, this was probably the best one we’ve seen

Lincoln park: last minute decision after getting off Fauntleroy ferry. Never been to this park before, lots of cute trails and a big wide boardwalk by the beach with stunning views. Reminded me of discovery park. A very nice PNW beach park!!

A great day with little kids
